Dead Pixels Test and Fix / Dead Pixel Fix
1. Who we are
ZooxSoft develops and provides Dead Pixels Test and Fix, also displayed as Dead Pixel Fix (the "App"). The App displays screen-testing and pixel-treatment patterns and is supported by advertising.
For privacy questions or requests, contact ZooxSoft at zooxsoft@gmail.com.
This policy explains how data is handled by the App, its advertising services, and our support correspondence. Reading or using the App does not by itself constitute consent to personalized advertising.
2. Data handled on your device
The App stores preferences, such as the brightness option, in local Android app storage. Advertising and consent SDKs may also store identifiers and consent choices locally.
The device-information screen displays Android version, device model and other technical device details locally. The App's own device-information feature does not send these details to ZooxSoft. Advertising SDKs separately process device data as described below.
The App does not require an account. It does not request access to contacts, SMS, microphone, camera, photos, or precise device location. It does not capture screenshots or upload screen contents as part of its screen-testing or treatment features. Approximate location can nevertheless be inferred from an IP address by advertising providers.
Android backup may include local app settings, depending on your device, Android settings and backup provider.
3. Advertising and automatically processed data
The App integrates Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK), Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP), and Unity Ads. Unity Ads can be used when an AdMob interstitial is unavailable.
Google Mobile Ads processes IP addresses, app/ad interactions, diagnostic information and identifiers, including Android advertising ID, app set ID and, where applicable, other device or account identifiers. An IP address may indicate approximate location. Processing supports advertising, measurement, service performance and fraud prevention. App set ID serves essential non-advertising identification purposes, such as analytics and fraud prevention; it is not used to personalize ads.
Unity Ads may process user and device identifiers, IP address, approximate location, device/software information, diagnostics, ad interactions and purchase-history information as described in its SDK data disclosure. These data support advertising, analytics, app functionality, fraud prevention, security and compliance; the purposes depend on the data category. The App itself does not offer purchases or user accounts. Unity documents additional app-usage-time collection when Acquire Optimization is enabled; this optional optimization is not enabled for this App.
The availability and use of identifiers or personalized advertising depend on your region, consent choices, device settings and provider configuration. Non-personalized or limited ads do not necessarily mean that no data is processed.
Google and Unity receive data through their SDKs. Their advertising partners may also receive data as described in their policies and the applicable consent disclosures. Those providers may process data on their own behalf as well as to deliver their services to the App.

4. Advertising choices and consent
The App uses Google UMP to obtain and store advertising consent where required. Where required by UMP, you can reopen the consent form from Settings > Advertising privacy choices to review or change your choices, including refusing consent. Availability of this entry depends on the region and UMP requirements. Available choices depend on region and the privacy message presented. Where consent is required for personalized ads or access to device storage, the applicable consent request is separate from this policy.
You can use the advertising privacy controls available in Android settings to reset or delete the advertising ID or limit its use, depending on your Android version. These controls do not necessarily remove data previously retained by providers.
For help with a consent change or privacy request, contact zooxsoft@gmail.com. You can also use the privacy controls and request procedures described in Google's and Unity's policies. Changing advertising preferences does not delete support emails or previously collected provider data automatically.
5. Contacting support
The Contact feature opens your chosen email application with a recipient, subject and initial message. The App does not send the email automatically. If you choose to send it, we receive your email address, your message and any information or attachments you voluntarily include.
We use support correspondence to answer your request, investigate the reported issue and maintain necessary follow-up records. Your email provider and our mailbox provider process the correspondence under their own privacy terms. Please do not include passwords, payment details or other unnecessary sensitive information.
The Share feature similarly opens another application; you decide whether to share the prepared store link.
6. Permissions and device settings
Internet and network-state access enable ads and consent messages. The advertising ID permission supports advertising services subject to applicable choices. Screen-awake functionality keeps the display active during a session.
If the maximum-brightness option is enabled, the App overrides brightness only for the active test or treatment window. It does not change your saved system brightness setting and does not request permission to modify system settings. The override is removed when the session is paused or ends and before an advertisement is shown. You can disable maximum brightness in the App settings.
7. Retention and deletion
To request deletion of data associated with Dead Pixels Test and Fix: (1) email zooxsoft@gmail.com with the subject "Dead Pixel Fix - data deletion"; (2) describe the data you want deleted and, for support correspondence, contact us from the email address used for that correspondence; (3) we will assess the request, ask only for information needed to locate the data or verify your identity, and explain the outcome or any retention exception. Do not send passwords or identity documents unless a specific lawful verification need has been explained. For advertising-provider data, use the privacy-request procedures linked in section 3, or contact us for help identifying the provider. Clearing app storage removes local settings but does not erase provider-held data. We can delete support correspondence under our control, subject to the legal-retention exceptions below; we cannot directly erase all Google or Unity records.
Local preferences and SDK storage generally remain until you clear the App's storage or uninstall it. Copies in device backups may remain under your backup provider's rules and may be restored. Clearing local storage does not delete information already held by advertising providers or in support mailboxes.
There is no fixed retention period for support emails. We retain correspondence for as long as needed to resolve your request and complete related follow-up; longer retention is limited to applicable legal obligations or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. You can request deletion by emailing zooxsoft@gmail.com. We will assess the request, verify your identity where necessary and explain any applicable retention exception.
Google, Unity and their partners determine retention for the data they hold according to their policies and applicable obligations. Provider deletion requests must follow their relevant procedures; ZooxSoft cannot directly erase all provider-held data. Contact us if you need assistance identifying the relevant provider.
Because the App does not offer user accounts, there is no App account to delete.
8. Security and international processing
Google states that Mobile Ads SDK data is encrypted in transit using TLS. Local settings are kept in Android app-private storage, subject to the security of your device and its backup configuration. Email security also depends on the email providers involved. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Advertising and email providers may process data outside your country. Their policies describe relevant locations and safeguards.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of personal data, restrict or object to processing, and withdraw consent for future consent-based processing. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Send requests relating to support correspondence or ZooxSoft's handling of data to zooxsoft@gmail.com. Requests relating to provider-held data can be made using the procedures in the provider policies above. We may need sufficient information to locate the relevant data and verify the request.
10. Children
The App is intended for adults aged 18 and over and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13 through support correspondence. Advertising data handling is described above; this statement does not mean that advertising SDKs collect no data.
If you believe a child has provided personal data through the App or support correspondence, contact zooxsoft@gmail.com so that we can assess the issue and take appropriate action, including addressing provider-held data through the relevant provider.
11. External services and changes
Opening an advertisement, a store listing or another external link takes you to a service with its own privacy practices.
We may update this policy when the App or its data practices change. The updated policy will show a revised date. Where applicable, material changes or new consent-based processing require appropriate notice or a separate consent request.
